Signature Care withdraws plans for Goulburn aged care home after Council demands 50% higher-than-average fee

As explained in the attached article, Signature Care’s Goulburn project has been withdrawn due to the Goulburn Council pushing for a 50% higher than average infrastructure charge. Despite this one irregularity, many councils have incentives for development that will see many new homes built. With the success of the newly opened Langwarrin home, development has not slowed down and 16 homes are in the pipeline.

Emmaus College Students Learn on Jimboomba Job Site

It’s true that this year has had many detrimental effects across the board, but it’s also true that misfortune often offers new opportunities and alternative ways to achieve our goals.

Due to COVID-19, students from Emmaus College Jimboomba weren’t going to be able to get the hands-on experience that is included as part of their Certificate I in Construction. However, this offered an opportunity for the students to get the important real-world experience with our Croft construction team at the East Street Jimboomba site.

As the year closes, the students that got to learn directly from experienced people in the industry have now all completed their certificate and are closer to realising their full potential and discover where their personal skills and hard work will take them.
